3/14/24 - Beautiful prose but I couldn’t make it feel real, even though a lot of it is eerily close. It also just hit too close to home.

2/4/24 - This has been on my list for a long time knowing that I might not love it. I think I’m just not that into ghost stories, though I did enjoy the anti-colonial stance.

Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves

1/10/24 - Had never even heard of this book before despite it (sort of) being by one of my favorite authors. YA, a little dark (not surprising), not the best but still fun. There’s a sequel so I’ll probably listen to that too.

1/26/24 - Not my favorite and kind of really sad at times! But very sci-fi and a good way to go about the metaverse.

Anathem by Neal Stephenson

1/10/24 - Funny that I finished these the same day. First physical book of the year, though I’ve been reading it for over a month. Took me a while to get into with all the worldbuilding and philosophy, but once the story got going it really flew to places I never anticipated. Very smart with some funny moments, and my mind is still whirring from this one (and probably will be for a long time).

2/7/24 - No Maisie Dobbs but still a good listen nonetheless, about a Belgian spy in both World Wars. Badass woman as per usual with some nice character development.

1/26/24 - I absolutely loved this book. Perfect weird inner dialogue of a thoughtful college student. Very different than The Idiot, equally cringey and funny and wonderful. Truly a great book.

A Sunlit Weapon by Jacqueline Winspear

12/28/23 - Didn’t even realize I was listening to the last book in the series! Loved all the powerful women. Will really miss Maisie Dobbs.
